For months, a sprawling Reddit post claiming to lay out the entire plot of Avengers: Doomsday sat in fan forums getting mocked, screenshotted, and dismissed as elaborate fan fiction. That’s where things get interesting: the leak says Doctor Doom personally shows up to recruit Reed Richards, warning him about the Incursions and proposing an alliance across universes to stop them. Doom and Reed reportedly detect an anomaly on Earth-616 Steve and his family, people who were never supposed to exist there and the plan to save the multiverse slowly curdles into something much darker once Doom’s real motives come out.

A trailer lining up with a handful of broad story beats, a villain-centric threat, a multiversal team-up, a rebuilt Compound isn’t the same as confirming every specific plot point, especially the more devastating character deaths and the Battleworld twist ending.
What’s changed is credibility, not certainty. A leak that was easy to laugh off in isolation is a lot harder to dismiss once real marketing material starts checking boxes on its list.
